From our first site visit with Garry we knew he was the man for the job! He brought our architect plans to life with his incredible knowledge, whilst giving us some practical tips on what will work in the long term for our home. He was efficient in all aspects of the job- from getting our quote to us, answering questions via phone/text/email, liaising with our building inspector and other site contractors and keeping us updated on progress. You can tell his team is well rehearsed and nothing phased them! They were all a pleasure to have on site and work with! We absolutely wouldn't hesitate to recommend Garry and his team, and will be coming back to them in the future for anything ground work related!

We recently had the pleasure of working with SPD Groundworks & Construction Ltd on the rebuild of our property, and I cannot praise Garry enough for the quality and professionalism he brought to every stage. From the initial consultation to the final touches, SPD’s work exceeded our expectations, and we are delighted with the results.

He managed multiple aspects of our construction needs, including our garden patio, driveway construction, all foundational work up to the DPC (Damp Proof Course), and pathways that flow seamlessly around the house and throughout the garden.
From day one, Garry impressed us with his expertise, attention to detail, and genuine commitment to achieving the highest standards.

The foundation work was particularly well-executed—despite the complexity of ensuring proper service connection and drainage, they navigated everything smoothly and with obvious skill.
It’s clear he has a deep understanding of all facets of construction and takes pride in ensuring long-lasting quality.
Garry was incredibly organised and kept the worksite tidy throughout, which we really appreciated. Not only did this make the construction process more pleasant, but it also reflected the care they put into their work.
Each stage of the project was managed with meticulous care, and he was excellent at keeping us updated on progress, addressing any questions, and being responsive to our requests.
The garden patio and paths they created are beautiful, blending effortlessly with the landscape, with impeccable attention to detail—our garden has truly been transformed into a stunning space. The driveway construction was another part of our project; it’s solid, perfectly laid out, and designed to withstand wear while complementing the aesthetics of our property.
I would wholeheartedly recommend SPD Groundworks & Construction Ltd to anyone in need of high-quality construction services. The team brings the perfect combination of skill, professionalism, and dedication to their work. We are beyond satisfied with the outcome and have received countless compliments from friends and neighbours.

A huge thank you to Garry for turning our vision into reality….. you can trust them with your next project!

The job was a large patio and we only had a vague idea about what we wanted. Garry and his team helped us to round out our vision, were always knowledgable, approachable, and offered solutions to potential problems.
The build went amazingly well, any problems were quickly communicated and sorted out, communication was super throughout and the work ethic of the team is superb.
When you need expertise, professionalism, and a dogged determination to get the best job done, then you need SPD Groundworks.

I had a vague idea about the things we wanted to incorporate into our garden design and the way we wanted it to look. Garry took our vague ideas and helped us to map out the key areas before embarking on quite an ambitious project. To say that Garry is meticulous is an understatement and he clearly takes a great deal of pride in his work. I hate to think what our garden would look like had we not had SPD on site. For any garden projects, Garry is our first port of call. Him and his team are also great to have on site…. Zero drama and zero stress.
